Arrive a little early
Plan to arrive 10–15 minutes before your dancer’s first class so they can get settled, meet their instructor, and start with confidence.
Dress for movement
Choose comfortable dancewear that lets your dancer move safely. Your instructor can confirm the right shoes and any class-specific attire after enrollment.
Bring the essentials
A labeled water bottle and a positive attitude are the best things to bring. Please keep personal belongings together and leave valuables at home.

Stay connected
Important updates, schedule reminders, and studio announcements are shared through your GoMotion family account and studio communications.
Need help? Ask early
Questions about placement, attendance, costumes, or performances are always welcome. Contact the studio so we can help before a deadline approaches.
Keep your details current
Please make sure your phone number, email address, and emergency contact information are current in your family account.
Performance and recital readiness
Watch for important dates
Performance opportunities, rehearsals, costume details, and ticket information are shared as plans are finalized. Save studio dates as soon as they are announced.
Practice makes progress
Encourage regular attendance and at-home practice when instructors share choreography or skills to review.

2026–2027 Recreational Class Parent Guide
Welcome to a new season of artistic growth and community at Turn Out Dance Academy. This guide is your resource for administrative requirements, performance schedules, and financial milestones.
Sign online waivers
All families must submit signed waivers through the parent portal before the first day of the semester. This is required for class participation.
Performance spotlight: save the dates
Christmas Performance
Elementary for Lions Pancake Breakfast with Santa. Performance times will be shared with families closer to the event.
June Recital
Tentatively planned for the first weekend of June. Venue and exact times are to be announced; please keep the weekend clear for the season finale.
Financial planning: fees and fundraising
Fundraising profits can be applied directly to tuition and fees, helping families plan ahead for the season.
October
Warm Glow Fundraiser
Profits help offset costume and tuition costs.
November
Costume fees due
$90–$100 per costume for end-of-year recital attire.
December
Pie Fundraiser
A second opportunity to help offset costume or tuition balances.
March
Recital fee due
$100 for production costs, venue security, and administrative expenses for the June showcase.

Share the dance family
Tell your friends about Turn Out Dance Academy. You will receive a $25 credit on your account for every dancer who signs up and mentions you as their reference.
Adult class opportunities
Dance and wellness are lifelong pursuits. Parents are welcome to join us for specialized adult programming throughout the week.
Fitness and Yoga: $15 drop-in per class or a 4-class pass for $50. The pass does not apply to Belly Dance.
